21 Year Round Minimalist Capsule Wardrobe Ideas

Creating your own minimalist capsule wardrobe might not be as difficult as you think. With so many amazing collections compiled together to inspire you, finding your perfect capsule wardrobe can be incredibly simple.

I think for many, creating your own capsule wardrobe that works just for you, seems a little… overwhelming.

Since we all come in many different shapes, lead different lives, and require specific types of clothes. There is no “one fits all” capsule wardrobe out there.

Luckily though, there are dozens of compilations of different types of minimalist capsule wardrobes to help you narrow things down to fit your tastes.

But sometimes, we need to start with the basics, or the” foundation” of your minimalist capsule wardrobe.

Once you have got your statement pieces together, then you can start to add more things based on your lifestyle and to coordinate better with the seasons.

Just remember these few things as you start to create your minimalist capsule wardrobe:

  • Choose pieces that can easily be mixed and matched with each other. That is why neutral pieces like jean blue, black, white, and grey are the core colors of any wardrobe.
  • Go for quality over quantity. The main point of a capsule wardrobe is that you have fewer clothes to store and choose from. Spending a little more on a good cami that will be washed more frequently than if you had several, is what you should be focusing on finding.
  • Hybrid your chic and casual clothes. A black dress with heels screams a hot night out on the town, but then kick off the heels, add some tennis shoes, and a jean jacket and you turned chic into casual in seconds.

  1. I love your stuff!!
I’m trying to get into a more minimalist life style myself and this is really awesome. Thank you!

  2. I realize I never will be a minimalist with my things. I love clothing and expressing myself through my use of accessories. I love a very English Cottage way of decorating. These are both comforting to me. I think this is how I was raised so this explains the WHY behind my feelings. BUT my parents homes were always VERANDA beautiful whereas I’m finding it very difficult in this stage of my life to just stay up on the cleaning much else the decluttering. This is because I am sick and disabled. I’m following your website in hopes of changing this New Year 2021! Thank you for all the encouragement!

  3. Hi Natalie!
I am a firm believer that we should do what works for us! Whether that be embracing minimalism or showing off our eclectic style! I would have to say I am a mix of both for sure. What I did do this year though was represent my eclectic style through means of better organization and I could not have found more peace. Good look to you on your changes you’re seeking in 2021, it will be worth the effort 🙂

  4. Thank you for understanding we are not all the same. I love your website. I am seeking decluttering some and organizing in 2021, May you be happy in minimalism this 2021!
