20 Chic DIY Christmas Decor Ideas

If you’re looking for chic DIY Christmas decor ideas that look store-bought, you’ve come to the right place. With just a few simple supplies and a little bit of creativity, you can easily create beautiful holiday decorations that will impress your friends and family.

Keep some of these tips in mind when trying to create your own DIY Christmas decor.

  • Stick to a minimal color palette. When it comes to chic Christmas decor, less is definitely more. Choose one or two colors and stick to them throughout your decorating. This will create a more cohesive and polished look.
  • Incorporate natural elements. Decorations made with natural materials such as wood, dried citrus, and greenery always have a chic, understated quality about them.
  • Go for ornamentation with a twist. If you’re going to use traditional Christmas decorations such as garland and wreaths, try adding a unique twist. For example, use gold-sprayed pinecones instead of traditional ones or use ribbons in unexpected colors or patterns.
  • Get crafty with lighting. Lighting can make or break a chic Christmas decoration. Whether you’re stringing up fairy lights or using candles, make sure the light source is hidden so that it doesn’t interfere with the overall aesthetic of your decoration.

With these tips in mind, you can easily create chic DIY Christmas decor ideas that look store-bought…even if they’re not!
