30 Brilliantly Organized Pantries That Will Inspire You

Organized pantries are making their debut in the kitchen. From matching containers, labeled bins, and color-coded systems, creating a beautifully organized pantry is not as difficult as it seems.

All it takes to have a fantastic-looking pantry is to understand that you will need to keep adjusting yours until you have found something that not only looks great but also is realistic to maintain.

If you think that may be impossible in your household there are plenty of solutions to make sure your newly organized pantry stays that way.

01 | DECLUTTER A LOT

Before you can really dive into your pantry and declutter, you need to ruthlessly give your pantry a deep declutter. We are all guilty of keeping food way past its expiration date and the food we know we won’t eat.

Organized pantries should only have what you use, not an abundance of clutter.

02 | FIND NEW HOMES FOR ANYTHING ODD

The easiest way to organize a space is to have a lot of space to actually organize! If you store small appliances, cleaning products, sundries, dishes, etc. in your pantry try to find these items in new permanent homes that are not taking up the valuable real estate in your pantry.

You will see that most organized pantries listed below only have the fundamental essentials, usually just food items.

03 | INVEST IN YOUR PANTRY

The cold hard truth is if you have containers, bins, and organizational solutions available for your pantry, organizing will be so much easier.

Not just easier to accomplish, but easier to maintain. Invest in your pantry by purchasing a few matching bins.

Don’t have the funds to do so? I get it… I really really do. Go container hunting in your own home. Pull together what you have and make it work!

One of my all-time favorite suggestions is spray painting the collection of containers you have to make them match! I do this all the time and I’ve painted bright blue containers matte chalky gray and it instantly upgraded my pantry to a farmhouse look without the expensive container.

04 | LABEL, LABEL, LABEL

Make your pantry “lazy-proof” by making sure everything is clearly labeled. Snacks, dinner, canned goods, baking, pasta, etc. The more permanent you make sections in your pantry the easier it will be to put things back in their place.

Organized pantries have tons of labeled jars, bins, and containers to help keep clutter under control. Luckily for us adding labels may be one of the most inexpensive but effective organizing methods that will make a huge difference in your pantry!

05 | MAINTAIN IT

I wish I could tell you that you will only have to clean, declutter, and organize your pantry once, but just like with anything else, you must learn to maintain it and come up with solutions to areas that are not working.

Don’t be afraid to re-organize areas that don’t seem to be staying organized throughout the week. Maybe you need more bins, a tiered riser for double the space, or maybe you need more labeling?

Once you find that sweet spot, where your pantry stays organized throughout a typical week, then a quick five-minute clean-up session once in a while is all it will take for you to get your pantry looking just as great as the day you organized it!
